Christmas Lunch for our Seniors
On Saturday 14th December thirty-five of our senior parishioners gathered for a Christmas lunch in our Parish Hall. After much preparation and hard work our team of volunteers served them a hearty Christmas spread, with lashings of turkey and trimmings. After the party crackers and party hats the meal was followed with entertainment. Singing some of our favourite Christmas and festive songs the entertainment was led by some of our more theatrical and creative volunteers.
Many people expressed how much they had enjoyed the afternoon, in fact our particular thanks go to them for their continued support of our community over many years. Special thanks to Eddie and Joan Duncombe and Rebecca Downing for their hard work in the organising and preparation.
Food and entertainment were excellent and the feeling of community was just the ‘BEST’! Thanks to all for great work!
And a PS I love the snow flakes on the webpage
Hi Alma
Glad you like them…I wish that they were a bit more flaky, rather than dots, but you get the idea. Hope you have had a good Christmas.
