The parishes of the Derby Deanery met at St Mary’s on Thursday 12th December to discuss the proposed changes to our parishes following ‘The Living Stones’ consultation.

A summary of that meeting is available in paper form from the porch at St. Alban’s.  The likely effect of the consultation for us at St Alban’s and The Church on Oakwood is that we will be linked with St Hugh’s at Borrowash, and that there will eventually be one priest looking after the three churches. There is no date for this to take place.

We will continue to work together with St Hugh’s, sharing our sacramental programme preparation, parish information and events that are taking place in our communities, until the time comes for the link to officially come into effect.
