Baptism of Babies and Infants

At the moment our priest meets with parents of babies, infants and children who are seeking baptism. Often the experience of the birth of a child can put  parents in touch with their desire to share their faith with their children and make them part of the church community.

When parents come with older children a different sort of preparation is needed and there are a team of lay people who help with this. We are shortly going to gather a new team together who can meet with and support other parents at this important moment in the journey of faith.

First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion

The sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion are normally open to children who will be 8 years old in the current school year. There are preparation meetings for parents and for children beginning in January each year.

There is a large team of lay catechists who lead the preparation along with our priest.
